What will your typical day look like?
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be part of a global DevOps team providing software and infrastructure support to ensure its services are able to be enjoyed by millions of product users. Our SREs are responsible for keeping systems up and running with the highest level of availability and creating highly automated systems and pipelines.
We actively embrace open source and innovative software/hardware architecture, building a series of infrastructure to ensure the best R&D practices and enable the overall development of the product and services
As part of the SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage complex challenges of scale, while using expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design. Deloitte’s Cloud and Engineering Practice helps clients realise the potential of transformational capabilities to solve their most challenging issues. We improve their agility and resilience and identify opportunities to optimise their technology usage. We also accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, by implementing vendor solutions as well as Deloitte-developed software solutions and tools.
Required interpersonal skills/experience
Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our core infrastructure, paying attention to system capacity, stability and cost;
Be able to effectively communicate your work with both technical and non-technical peers;
Be excited about modern technologies/techniques;
Have a superior attention to detail and a strong ability to Q/A one’s own work required.
Required role specific skills/experience
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Other degree holder will also be considered;
Solid basic knowledge of computer software, understanding of Linux operating system, storage, network IO and other related principles
Familiar with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, Java, Shell, Ansible, etc.
Ability to solve problems systematically, good communication skills and sense of ownership
Algorithmic thinking, good data structure and system design ability is preferred
Storage direction, relevant system experience is preferred: KV, Table, Graph, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, MQ , etc
Computing & big data direction, relevant system experience is preferred: Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, AIops, Spark, Flink, Function as a service, RPC Framework, Service Mesh, etc.
Familiarity with popular CI/CD procedures and environments
